Katie Broyles

Katie Broyles is a third year Studio Art major. Her artwork primarily focuses on expressing the complexities of human relationships through video, painting, illustration, and sculpture. Her films have been selected for the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival and the Austin Spotlight Film Festival. She has worked on numerous film sets, most notably SIX on History Channel as a production assistant and My Friend Shokat in production design, and has acted in numerous student films. She is interested in transitioning into directing films about important and meaningful stories that combine the metaphysical with the mundane.

Maggie Bailey

Maggie M. Bailey is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who aims to make work that provides a platform to unheard voices as well as educating and raising awareness about sex-positivity. On other's projects, she produces and assistant directs. Work that she has directed and produced has screened at SXSW, Atlanta Film Festival, Frameline Film Festival, CineKink, BAMcinemaFest, Maryland Film Festival, Oak Cliff Film Festival, and more. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Film and Media Production from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of filmmaking, she is a boudoir photographer and an avid salsa dancer.

Da Hee Kim

Jodie spent over five years working in digital marketing & advertising working before deciding to change careers to film producing and filmmaking. Her work in marketing taught her that she loves collaborating on teams, organization, and good communication, which is why producing is a natural path for her. Since moving to Austin in the fall of 2018, she has produced or assistant produced three short narrative films currently in post-production; Lotus, Denied, and Spin. She is currently producing a feature documentary about the intersection of science and well-being, as well as documentary about the women behind the Texas Reproductive Rights Rally. As a filmmaker, she wants to tell stories on the immigrant and minority experience in America. She is currently working on a short documentary that explores her adoption from Korea, and what it meant to grow up in a transracial family in the suburbs of Minnesota.

Leo Aguirre

Leo Aguirre is a director and cinematographer based in Austin, Texas. His work has screened and won awards at film festivals around the world. In 2014, his film El Fuego Detrás garnered worldwide distribution after screening at the Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner and was inducted into the Texas Archive of the Moving Image after receiving the TAMI award in 2015. He was nominated for the ASC (American Society of Cinematographers) Student Heritage Award upon graduating from the University of Texas at Austin’s Radio-Television-Film program.

Leo currently splits his time between narratives, commercials and music videos. He strives to continue working on projects that strive to explore human and existential complexities through visually compelling storytelling.

Emily Pullen

Emily is a recent graduate of American University who is using impact production as a means to connect the dots between storytelling and political movements. She has already worn many hats within the political realm, working for a variety of social justice-oriented organizations. In the Spring of 2018, Emily served as the Development and Outreach Intern for Democracy Now!— the internationally renowned independent media broadcast— where she learned the ropes of independent media development and grassroots media organization. She further explored independent media while working for the award-winning social documentary production company Spark Media. She is currently living in Brooklyn, and looks forward to collaborating on activist campaigns and independent media projects in order to provoke thoughtful conversations with political impact.
